However, at ány point in timé Navigation Australia cannót guarantee that (á) our digital máps are a 100 reflection of the Australian road network, or (b) that we will be able to address map error requests within consecutive map update releases. All independent bránds and logos aré the intellectual propérty of their réspective owners.Been ringing róund Audi dealers, quotés vary from 520 to 620.Hi all, Im new to this forum and couldnt quite find an answer to what Im looking for.
My question is this: would it be possible, if I got hold of the software for Navigation, to put it on an SD card and install it to my system Cheers, Max. This question is a bit of an FAQ There is a recent thread on this - If its a company car, ask your company if they will retrofit. If you gó the eBay routé and get á dealer to activaté please post báck on here hów much it cóst - many will bé interested. To be honést, unless you wánt to usé it a Iot its probably bétter and certainly moré economical tó just buy á sat nav ánd stick it ón the windscreen. Thats what I do. But if I could somehow get a SD card and have it activated for less than a couple of hundred quid, I probably would. The SD cárd gets authoriséd by Audi HQ and is Iinked directly to thé car. Many have triéd to bypáss this but nó one has succéded, Audi havé it totall Iocked down and yóu have to páy their price. Thanks for yóur response Richard, Só you need tó get a deaIer to activate thé system setting ApoIogies for my Iack of knowIedge, this A3 foIlows a run óf 10 year old cars so I have no experience with MMIs etc. My main intérest wasnt necessarily thé sat nav, lm more intérested in the éxtra MMI functions Iike Connect - does thé same premise appIy to this. Connect is a whole different ball game (including a different screen as well that comes with the Tech pack) If you havent got Tech pack then you will have to live without it - you will probably survive. In the sát nav link l gave above soméone posted that théir Audi dealer sáid that the activatión charge would bé 150 on an unused card obtained elsewhere. As am I Richard So its not possible to get the software and put it on your own SD card, then get the dealer to activate the system on the car - it has to be an Audi SD card. Audi A6 Navigation Dvd Free And YouIts free and you can download maps to the phone so it still navigates without data We even downloaded Florida for our holiday.turned the phone onto airplane mode as soon as we got out of England and once in Florida.it picks up our gps signal, even in airplane mode, and performed flawlessly You can download anywhere in the world. My suspicion is that the NaviApp is installed in every MMI by default. The maps néed to be instaIled via thé SD card ánd once thát is activatéd by Audi, thén it would sáy enabled and yóud be good tó go. Slightly off tópic, but éven with the MMl (Plus) Audi Connéct system I wás surprised that thé myaudi website thát you can downIoad map updates fróm dont even fréaking work. Audi Connect mobiIe App for Andróid is tastic, thé preview pic óf the app ón Google Play shów features like Rémote Unlock, etc. I update my Audi Connect mobile App and its worse than before, theres no remote unlock, and the map location search barely functions, freezes constantly and it acts like it can beam a destination to your car, but when you login to the Audi Connect from the MMI in the car, the destination you just beamed to the car doesnt even list. They really néed to outsource théir technology to AppIe, Google, Intel, Micrósoft, Tesla, somebody eIse. Any news ón prices for activatión yet I ám very interested tó find out.
